About us

ArtHistorical specialises in fine European sculpture and works of art, with an emphasis on works in the classical tradition. We also offer Old Master paintings, oriental textiles and objects from antiquity.

The company is based in London and was founded by Stephen Porter, who has over forty years’ experience in the art trade. Stephen is assisted by Sam Porter, who holds an MA in the History of Art and focussed his research studies on the revival of antique sculpture in the Italian Renaissance.

ArtHistorical is a member of the LAPADA and CINOA trade associations and has exhibited at LAPADA London, Masterpiece London and the Battersea Decorative Fair. We have sold to private collectors and important institutions across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.
